Quote I found amusing from the most recent Diversion Magazine: For Physicians at Leisure --
A new attending (medical school class 2004): "My mom's a doctor," she said, and both her parents had grave doubts about the direction of medicine. "They've seen it changing through the decades -- no one appreciates you, no money, I would never find a husband."

How sad.
Good thing I found the bestest husband in the world, and we're going to Hawaii in a few days. But the rest may still ring true...

haven't blogged in a long time... staying busy with job and wedding planning, but taking a break this weekend and going to mammoth for some skiing! hope i don't tumble down the mountain... at least i'll be all bundled up like the michelin man! speaking of which... the michelin guide is this super strict guide on restaurants, we recently went to a 2 star (3 stars is max and there are none in LA) restaurant called Melisse. wow, the food was amazing! none of the dishes disappointed, all the sauces and components of each dish complemented each other, and even things i'm not usually crazy about tasted incredible. here's a sample of some photogenic scallops. yummy.
